🗣️ Newest P.A. Member, Tae Lamar, Talks Debut
Beat-maker Tae Lamar has most certainly been Polished Arrow-adjacent for a while. So why is this the right time to make it official?
“When I first started with Polished Arrow, all I knew of was iNTELLECT. It was the label he created to put his music under. But after doing the first Above the Clouds album, it started growing into what it is now.”
“To be honest, since that first album, I hadn’t even been active in music. But once we started slowly working on album two, coupled with the talented artist that became part of PA, it was only right to be added on as an exclusive producer/beat maker for the team.”
“Personally, it keeps me active…lol.”
“Once it started coming together, it felt right. When I made the track [Vegeance], I immediately thought of what Polished Arrow artists would fit. Once I got the vocals from Griff and Procyse and listened a few times, I was like, yeah, I need to drop this one. People need to hear this.”
“But then when I got the cuts from Kair One, it was stamped. This is part one. With it sounding cinematic, I felt I had to do a part two and three, so those are coming as well.”
“I’m hoping to just continue to bring that raw, classic sound. PA is rooted in that classic hip hop feel, and I want to just continue that while working with all the different artists in the crew. Of course, we’re wrapping up the Above the Clouds album, but I’m also looking to help curate a Polished Arrow album; looking to work with Griffin on a collab EP; maybe some more instrumental albums.”
“Overall, I think it’s going to be a really dope run working with everybody in the crew.”
